What is TRiO Club?
The TRiO Club provides an opportunity for members to become involved in activities which facilitate the development of a campus climate supportive of academic, social, and personal success; to learn leadership skills; to broaden individual experiential backgrounds; and to extend the "Helping Hand" philosophy.  It offers Student Support Services participants and students campus wide the opportunity to become involved in activities.

TRiO Club Historical Origin
The vision for the
TRiO Club was as a student leadership development component to the Student Support Services program. This vision was implemented through club status by Purdue University North Central requirements.  Student leadership development was to occur through various teaching methodologies and offerings of experiential opportunities by the official advisor of the club, which was determined to be a Student Support Services staff.  Since the club’s inception in 1995, it has evolved to a respectable and active club according to Purdue University North Central requirements and the vision of its originator,
 Patricia A. Carlisle.
