Letter from Your Student Government President
Dear PNC students,
My name is Adam Dobrzeniecki and I am President of the Student Government Association for the 2007-08 school year. Let me be the first person to welcome you to the beautiful Purdue North Central campus! The choice that you made to attend PNC will forever impact the rest of your life in such a positive way. Not only will you have the opportunity to earn a world-class degree, but numerous opportunities exist outside the classroom for you to grow as a person and a leader. Having the opportunity to be part of a small class size setting is essential to get the “hands-on” experience. As for campus life, I can’t stress to you enough the importance of getting involved with activities outside the classroom. Over 25 student organizations exist and there are numerous events such as Purdue Pride Week, Spirit Week, and PNC MLK Service Day. The Voice, PNC’s student-run newspaper, does a remarkable job keeping everyone up-to-date with happenings on the PNC campus. Additionally, this year history will be made in the athletic department as women’s volleyball will compete at the varsity level. It is also noteworthy to mention the tight bond that PNC shares with faculty, staff, students, and the community. The date of April 16, 2007 will always be remembered as 32 people lost their lives on the Virginia Tech campus. With the leadership of Chancellor Dworkin, the Student Government Association stepped up to the plate and held a memorial observing a moment of silence for all of those affected by the tragedy. Close to 60 PNC faculty, staff, and students gathered to pay tribute on the PNC campus. I challenge each and every one of you to excel in the classroom and take full advantage of your experiences here at PNC. Whether it is being president of a student organization or volunteering for an event, give it your all. We are truly blessed to have excellent faculty and administrators working hard each day to make PNC the best place to be. Make the most of every opportunity, as you will not get this time back.
Best of luck,
Adam Dobrzeniecki, Student Government President |
